Wasteland by Relesser, TheoTerran
Album: Utopia / Dystopia
In these barren lands I roam
The ground is dry, the sky is gray
A broken heart where there's no home
Darkness fills my soul today
You're my hope in this wasteland
You're my God in this wasteland
Broken and crumbling
My heart is struggling
I am down on my knees in this wasteland
Broken and curmbling
My heart is struggling
I am down on my knees in this wasteland
In the desert I feel alone
My skin is fried, vision a haze
Faith still solid, like a stone
I know You'll never leave my side
In the desert, in the darkness, in this wasteland, You are God
About the song:
We all go through times of uncertainty and difficulty. This song acknowledges that God is still God, and He is still with us, even when it feels like He's not there. We praise Him in the good times, and we continue to praise Him in the difficult. As friends and family died in 2020-2023, Psalm 23 was a big influence in the writing of the song.
